As FACE Liaison you will connect new families to the school community. You will establish a relationship/connection with your school’s receptionist and registrar. These are the two people who make initial contact with the new family. Ask them to provide you with the new family’s name and contact information. This might not be possible due to privacy laws. So, in addition, provide your information to these two school employees and ask them to give your information to the new family. Regardless of the new family’s culture, you will connect with these families and welcome them (personally) to events and meetings. Also, you will help them learn the policies and procedures of the school and the district. If they need a multi-lingual connection, you will provide that for them. Above all, know that you are NOT alone in this process. You can always come to your PTSA president or the Issaquah PTSA Council FACE Chair for help.
