Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

Diversity is a representation of and respect for people from different backgrounds and identities – including but not limited to race, culture, religion, socio-economic status, age, geographic area, sexual orientation and gender identification, language, learning style, and physical appearance. It also involves bringing different ideas, perspectives, lived experiences, talents, values, and worldviews to represent the variety of children, caregivers, educators, and communities within the PTA family

Equity is fairness and ensuring everyone has access to the same opportunities. It’s not about treating everyone the same but about giving people what they need to succeed.

Inclusion creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to contribute. It’s about ensuring that all voices are heard and that no one is left out because of who they are.
